About Trinity - Who We Are

Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church and School, where we offer an outstanding Christian education, academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. Our students are given the opportunity to grow and excel, and they are encouraged to believe in themselves to become the leaders of tomorrow. If you are a prospective family, we encourage you to come visit us. We would like nothing better than to show off our school! Our students have an energy, enthusiasm, and natural curiosity that drives us to provide them with the best possible education. As we begin our 35th year of serving the greater Kissimmee community, we pray that God will continue to bless our school families!

A Trinity School Brochure with summary information from this website is available for your reference:

    About Trinity - Accreditation

Trinity Lutheran Church and School is accredited through the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod through their National Lutheran Schools Accreditation Program.

    NLSA Standards for Accredited Schools:

The school is purpose-driven.  The school is governed and administered effectively following written policy.  A qualified and competent staff serves the school.  The school’s curriculum, instructional design and assessment practices guide and ensure teacher effectiveness and student learning.  Student services and activities are offered to meet the needs and foster the growth of each student in a safe and healthy environment.  Buildings, grounds and equipment provide a safe and healthy environment that serves to enhance student learning.  In order to become accredited in good standing with NLSA, a school must comply fully with 30 required indicators of success.

NLSA is a rigorous national accrediting process designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as Lutheran schools. It helps schools evaluate not only the quality of the academics and programs, but also, most importantly, the spiritual dimension of the school. The “Standards for Lutheran Schools” and report forms are similar to those used by other accrediting agencies, both secular and religious.

Accreditation is an ongoing process of self-evaluation, improvement and recognition based on national standards, with annual reports submitted each year following the awarding of accreditation.  More information about the National Lutheran Schools Accreditation can be found through the LCMS NLSA.

    About Trinity - Annual Goals

    • We will achieve enrollment levels that will support the financial stability of the school, assure continued facility and program development, and provide resources to fairly reward staff and faculty.
    • We will strive to develop strong and respectful relationships with parents, communities and businesses to mutually support our student’s education.
    • We will develop effective tools to increase community awareness of the school, school programming, and the achievement of our students. Our tools will intentionally focus on Trinity as the “place to be.”
    • We will meet all requirements necessary to open and operate our Daycare facility; we will provide all desirable furnishing; we will employ properly certified and prepared staff; and, by the end of the 2017-18 school year, we will achieve enrollment levels that can financially sustain a strong daycare program.
    • We will provide opportunities for students to grow in faith.
    • We will complete and submit all necessary work to maintain National Lutheran School Accreditation.

    About Trinity - Student Clubs

Trinity keeps the learning process fun and engaging with on-campus clubs that promote constructive development of creative passions:

Hand Bells, Gardening Club, Arts & Crafts, Book Club, Student Council, Fitness, Technology, Tribe, NUHS, Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Badminton, Volleyball, Hockey and Robotics Club

Here’s a look at the Candy Construction Club….doesn’t their artwork look delicious?!?

    Learning at Trinity - Curriculum

Our curriculum is based upon the Curriculum Guide for Lutheran Elementary Schools and complies with the Sunshine Standards of the State of Florida. During the year, each student from Kindergarten through Grade Eight will be given one or more of the national measurement tests.

Religion, Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, Arts, Physical Education, Technology, Music, Science Fair Grades 3-9, Wax Museum Grades 6-11

    Learning at Trinity - Technology

Trinity recognizes the importance of technology in our approach to education.  Our classrooms are equipped with smartboards, and we have a computer lab that classes use at least twice a week.  Each grade has clearly defined goals and a well developed curriculum to make computers a part of the learning process.  Students learn typing skills, programming/coding, word processing skills like Powerpoint, Word and Excel.  Students create their own digital videos using both green screen technology and stop-motion videos with clay.

Trinity provides dedicated access to our computer lab for any students who need extra help in reading and math, and we maintain a well-stocked library with books that are suitable for students at all skill-levels.

Parent Resources - PTP Support & Counseling

PTP is our Parent Teacher Partnership. The PTP bridges our school administrators and the parents of our students. This connection is essential  because the more parents are engaged in their children’s scholastic lives, the more likely they will reach their fullest potential as students and as Christians.

PTP sponsors various events throughout the school year: Trunk or Treat, Santa’s Workshop, Shrove Tuesday’s Pancake Dinner, International Night, and FunFest.

As part of Trinity’s efforts to support our students and their families, we offer Counseling services to anyone who needs them.  Our church staff are always available as a resource, and we are connected to the wonderful staff at  Lutheran Counseling Services.  Please contact the School office for more information.
